Ivana was born in Bosnia in 1985. She was forced to flee her home with her family during the Bosnian War in 1995. She lived in a refugee camp in Croatia for the next four years. In 1999, she and her family were finally able to return to their home in Bosnia.

Ivana is a survivor of the Bosnian War. She is also a wife and mother of two children. She is currently working on a book about her experiences during the war.
