"From Small Seed" is a meticulously researched and beautifully written biography of Eliza Hamilton, the remarkable Founding Mother whose life and legacy have been largely overlooked. This captivating book sheds light on Eliza's extraordinary journey, from her humble beginnings to her role as guardian of her husband Alexander Hamilton's legacy.

Eliza Schuyler was born into a prominent New York family in 1757. She was a bright and inquisitive child who loved to learn. In 1780, she married Alexander Hamilton, a brilliant and ambitious young lawyer who would become one of the most important figures in American history.

Eliza and Alexander had a close and loving relationship. They were both deeply involved in the American Revolution, and Eliza often served as Alexander's advisor and confidante. After the war, Alexander became the first Secretary of the Treasury, and Eliza played a key role in helping him establish the financial system of the United States.

In 1804, Alexander Hamilton was killed in a duel with Aaron Burr. Eliza was devastated by her husband's death, but she found solace in her children and in her work. She became a leading advocate for education and for the rights of women. She also founded the Orphan Asylum Society, which provided care for orphaned children.

Eliza Hamilton lived a long and eventful life. She died in 1854 at the age of 97. She is buried next to her husband in Trinity Churchyard in New York City. Eliza Hamilton was a remarkable woman who made a significant contribution to the founding of the United States. Her story is one of courage, determination, and resilience.

"From Small Seed" is a must-read for anyone interested in American history, biography, or the untold stories of inspiring women. It's a rich and nuanced portrait of a remarkable woman who played a pivotal role in the founding of our nation.
